Weaste Yeast Ale
Weaste is an inner-city suburb of Salford, north of the Quays. The name “Weaste” is derived from Old French, meaning “waste”. It is known as a highly industrial area with a large number of industrial estates. Suffragette leader Emily Pankhurst married in Weaste, and it was also the birthplace of composer Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.
American Pale Ale was first developed in the 1980s in the United States. They tend to contain a significant number of hops, and the American hops help to distinguish its flavour from British Pale Ales. Our American IPA contains intense fruit flavours with a smooth and soft body.
