Ordsall Sour
Ordsall is an inner city suburb of Salford close to the River Irwell and divided from Stretford by the Salford Quays. It houses landmarks such as Ordsall Hall, a Tudor mansion that was once home to the Radclyffe family. It is even rumoured to be haunted by “the White Lady”. Ordsall is also home to Woden’s Den, a site of an old cave.
A Kettle-soured beer made with passion fruit, cherries, and stone fruit. Sour beer is a type of beer which has an acidic, tart, or sour taste, often flavoured with fruit. Kettle souring is a method of making sour beer, involving the souring of the wort before yeast fermentation. A unique type of bacteria is added which creates lactic acid before boiling.
